Spring Concert

The kiddos love practicing and getting ready for our Spring Concert. They were all so excited for you all to come and watch them!:)

Student Birthday!

We sure love celebrating friends birthdays in our class! :)

Oh the Places You'll Go!

During the month of March we have spent time doing different activities with Dr. Seuss books! We got to make suitcases for the story "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

        

Story Telling

Last week we read about different kinds of bugs. Each kiddo got to choose which bug they wanted to write about and they got to write their own story about that bug. At the end of the week when their story was complete, each student was given the opportunity to sit in front of the class and share their story; they had a lot of fun with this!

 

 

Animal Families

Our class loves to have Ms. Holz come and visit. They had a lot of fun learning about Animal Families!

100th Day of Kindergarten!!

Last week we had a lot of fun celebrating our 100th day of Kindergarten! It is crazy how fast this year is going but these kids have been so much fun :)

Holidays Around the World

As we approach Christmas time, all of Kindergarten is getting to learn about how other countries celebrate Christmas. We were very lucky to have Mrs. Wheeler (an associate at our school) come in and talk about how Christmas is celebrated in Germany, where she was born. The kids really enjoyed it!

The kids got to listen to Christmas carols that they know but that were sang in German!

Homecoming

Our class really enjoyed having the high school band and cheerleaders come for the pep assembly this morning.

They also really enjoyed having a football player and a couple of cross country runners come into our classroom to read some books to them :)

 

HAPPY HOMECOMING!!

Fire Safety Day at Stewart - 10/6/15!

The firemen came today to talk to the kids at Stewart about Fire Safety. They had different stations set up for the kids to go to and listen about and then they got to practice some ways to stay safe if there was a fire.

First, the kids got to go into the smoke trailer and practice how to crawl on their hands and knees to stay low and out of the smoke as much as they can, if there were a fire in their house.

Next the kiddos got to listen to a firefighter talk about the firetruck. They got to see the biggest fire truck that Washington has. They also got to go inside a bus and practice how they would get off of the bus if there was ever a fire.

The kids got to see a smoke house, they got to see what the smoke would do in the house. It showed them the smoke would rise and they would need to stay low to the ground if their house had a fire, to stay out of the smoke. 






One of the firemen also showed them what he would look and sound like dressed up in all of their gear!


 






Lastly, the kids got to practice how to stop, drop, and roll.

Homecoming Week!

Just a reminder, tomorrow (Monday) is the start of homecoming week! Each day there will be a different theme that the kids can dress up as. Here are the themes for each day this week :)

Monday, Oct 5 - Mustache Day - Wear your favorite "stache" for the day!

Tuesday, Oct 6 - Hat Day - Wear you favorite hat for the day.

Wednesday Oct 7 - Hero Day - Honor a hero and dress like a firefighter, policeman or military hero.

Thursday, Oct 8 - Pajama Day - Get comfy and cozy in your favorite PJ's!

Friday, Oct 9 - Spirit Day - Wear your orange and black and cheer the Demons on to Victory!
